About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Talent Acquisition Lead to join our team at Dakota Plains Cooperative. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in shaping our talent acquisition strategy and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners to develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition plan that aligns with our business objectives.
  • Lead a team of talent acquisition specialists in utilizing data-driven insights to inform hiring decisions and drive operational excellence.
  • Manage the day-to-day talent acquisition operations, focusing on quality of hire, cycle time to hire, and candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with vendors to analyze trends and develop modifications to our recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide strategic recruitment plans to support operational business initiatives.
  • Establish meaningful recruiting metrics to identify trends in hiring and workforce planning needs, applying insights to improve performance.
  • Coach team members and hiring managers to ensure adherence to compliant recruiting and hiring practices.
  • Participate in defining and shaping a diversity and inclusion strategy, developing infrastructure to deliver diverse talent pipelines.
  • Cultivate a strong safety culture, following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Previous experience as an HR business partner and/or human resource manager, with direct professional work experience in contract negotiations, union labor relations, and employment law.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, including SAP, Oracle, Lawson, or similar.
