Job Summary

As a Power Transformer Service Technician at HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U., you will be responsible for carrying out service installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work on medium and large power transformers. Your primary goal will be to exceed customer expectations by understanding and anticipating their current and potential needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work on medium and large power transformers.
  • Exceed customer expectations by understanding and anticipating current and potential needs.
  • Use analytical skills to make decisions on complex and technical issues.
  • Read and work from applicable electrical and mechanical drawings, and/or instruction and technical manuals.
  • Use computers and internal/external computer software to set up functions, enter data, or process information related to site visits.
  • Perform applicable internal work such as bushing connections, lead clearance, tapping, crimping, taping, contoured joints, etc.
  • Suggest product and process improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service.
  • Ensure all site work is performed to meet proper safety requirements.
  • Repair, re-gasket, assemble, and disassemble equipment as directed.
  • Participate in department administrative tasks.
  • Follow scheduling and administrative procedures.
  • Participate in technical training.
  • Prepare technical reports following site work.
  • Operate and maintain Vacuum Oil Processors (VOP's) and oil handling equipment.
  • Complete vacuum oil processing logs.
  • Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers.
