Job Title: Data Center Operations Manager

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure services? Do you have experience in data center engineering management and people management? We're looking for a skilled Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at AWS Infrastructure Services.

About the Role:

We own the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Data Center Operations Manager, you will be responsible for engineering operations and maintenance across the Amazon availability zone. You will oversee the build out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations, manage shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, and ensure that all work performed is in accordance with Amazon practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the build out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations
  • Manage shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors
  • Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with Amazon practices and procedures
  • Conduct financial analysis and contribute to financial decisions
  • Negotiate and roll out contracts and define and audit SLAs
  • Participate in recruiting efforts and continually raise the bar at hiring
  • Active in the training and/or development of others
  • Conduct Project Management for multiple sites
Requirements:
  • Data Center Engineering Management Experience
  • People Management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (Grado - Licenciatura) or Technical Degree and relevant experience
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
