Key Responsibilities- Identify and propose new opportunities for improvement and innovation in packaging development
- Define, plan, and execute development projects focused on cost savings, supply security, innovation, and machine investment in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Drive innovation and work towards sustainability goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Support and manage local packaging technicians, providing guidance and expertise as needed
- Supervise the creation and implementation of new packaging formats, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct lab tests and develop packaging prototypes, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Create and update detailed packaging specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate on the approval of artwork designs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
- Ensure compliance with packaging vendor assurance procedures, addressing supplier complaints and following up on action plans
- Evaluate and audit suppliers, implementing improvement plans where necessary
- Coordinate with various plants in different countries to apply best practices and align processes, ensuring consistency across the organization
- Update suppliers' certificates to meet pet food regulation requirements
- University degree in Engineering
- 10 years of experience in packaging, with a strong background in packaging development and innovation
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in French and Italian a plus
- Flexible and adaptable, with strong analytical skills and initiative
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent relational and communication skills
- Capacity for continuous learning and professional development
