Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic technical community and expanding operations in Spain, specifically within the Iberia Public Sector team.

You will collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge cloud computing innovations to organizations that cater to our Public Sector clientele, with a focus on assisting System Integrators, Consulting Partners, and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) throughout the Iberia region.

This role can be performed from Madrid, Spain, or remotely.


As an AWS Solutions Engineer, you will design enterprise-level Amazon Web Services solutions, manage the technical relationship and deliverables with major organizations, conduct multi-day workshops, facilitate brainstorming sessions, author technical documentation and blog entries, and address complex technical questions.

In your capacity as a Partner Solutions Engineer, you will have the chance to influence and execute a strategy aimed at enhancing awareness and extensive utilization of the AWS platform among the partner ecosystem.


Internally, you will serve as an advocate for our customers, driving ongoing enhancements to the AWS platform by conveying their requirements and expectations to shape the AWS feature and service roadmap.

You will also play a key role in defining the future of the Solutions Architecture organization by participating in the recruitment, coaching, and mentoring of new talent.


In this position, your innovative thinking will connect technology with practical solutions, allowing you to define or create cloud-native reference architectures alongside the global AWS Solutions Architect community.

Engagement in the development and dissemination of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (such as white papers, code samples, and blog posts) will be essential, as will your efforts to promote and educate others about AWS technology through various channels, including workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • Experience in IT development or consulting within the software or Internet sectors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience engaging with end-user or developer communities.
  • Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience with AWS technologies from a development/operations perspective.
  • Experience in the design, implementation, or consulting of applications and infrastructures.
