Sales Engineer

At MAHLE Smartbike Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for representing MAHLE at dedicated customers for technical and commercial discussions, creating and maintaining a network for information and communication flow, and supporting the development of new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Represent MAHLE at dedicated customers for technical and commercial discussions and other important occasions.
- Create and maintain a network for information and communication flow both from customer to MAHLE and vice versa.
- Support, set up and review of actual project budgets, compare activities and results with previously established project budgets and take appropriate corrective measures in line with Program Manager and Product Manager.
- Support & pursue new business opportunities by collecting information in early stage of the sourcing activities; generate sales opportunities for the dedicated product range or segment, research on sales feasibility of MSBS products for customer.
- Responsibility of defining product requirements for a specific program and/or project(s) together with customer and in line with MAHLE internal requirements. Responsibility of commercial discussions for a defined scope in agreement with the company's policy. Manage product development activities within project team as (core) team member of program / project(s) in line with the company's processes and guidelines.
- Define potential demand as well as technical trend and competitors analysis and forward the information internally.
- Establish long term relationship to the customer and strengthen contact network within different customer's organization, focusing on technical product development functions in order to be considered a strategic supplier of high technical competency.
- Act as Project Manager for PDP-projects with "normal complexity" if designated to this role.
- Bsc degree in Engineering.
- Min 5 years proven work experience as a Sales Engineer or similar senior engineer role.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
- Understanding of the bike and automotive industry. e-mobility would be a plus.
- English C1.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Negotiation skills qualification.
- Natural leader of people to drive and deliver sales targets.
- Able to prioritize workload for self and direct reports in order to maximize profit.
- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Comfortable with reporting updates.
- Easy to establish collaborative relationships (internal and external).
- Availability to travel is needed.
