About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at MAHLE Smartbike Systems. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for representing MAHLE at dedicated customers for technical and commercial discussions and other important occasions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent MAHLE at dedicated customers for technical and commercial discussions and other important occasions.
  • Create and maintain a network for information and communication flow both from customer to MAHLE and vice versa.
  • Support, set up and review of actual project budgets, compare activities and results with previously established project budgets and take appropriate corrective measures in case of deviations in line with Program Manager and Product Manager.
  • Support & pursue new business opportunities by collecting information in the early stage of the sourcing activities; generate sales opportunities for the dedicated product range or segment, research on sales feasibility of MSBS products for customers.
  • Define product requirements for a specific program and/or project(s) together with the customer and in line with MAHLE internal requirements.
  • Engage in commercial discussions for a defined scope in agreement with the company's policy.
  • Manage product development activities within the project team as (core) team member of program/project(s) in line with the company's processes and guidelines.
  • Keep close contact and excellent collaboration with the MSBS & project teams and mutually address the challenges coming from the market and PDP-projects.
  • Define potential demand as well as technical trends and competitors analysis and forward the information internally.
  • Establish long-term relationships with customers and strengthen contact networks within different customer organizations, focusing on technical product development functions to be considered a strategic supplier of high technical competency.
  • Act as Project Manager for PDP-projects with 'normal complexity' if designated to this role.
Requirements
  • BSc degree in Engineering.
  • Min 5 years proven work experience as a Sales Engineer or similar senior engineer role.
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
  • Understanding of the bike and automotive industry; e-mobility would be a plus.
  • English C1; fluent in Spanish.
  • Negotiation skills qualification.
  • Natural leader of people to drive and deliver sales targets.
  • Able to prioritize workload for self and direct reports to maximize profit.
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Comfortable with reporting updates.
  • Easy to establish collaborative relationships (internal and external).
  • Availability to travel is needed.
