Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Legal Counsel - Contract Specialist to join our Legal Team at Edreams Odigeo in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our commercial contracting strategy and ensuring that our contracts are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drafting and Negotiation of Contracts: You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, supplier service agreements, and IT agreements, with a focus on balancing business and legal requirements.
  2. Legal Risk Management: You will identify potential legal risks associated with contracts and develop effective strategies for risk mitigation, ensuring that our business operations are protected.
  3. Collaboration with Internal Teams: You will work closely with internal teams to provide clear and pragmatic legal guidance throughout the contract negotiation process, contributing to informed decision-making.
  4. Legal Research and Analysis: You will conduct legal research on specific issues and provide clear and concise analyses to support decision-making.
  5. Contract Management: You will maintain an organized and accessible repository of contracts and related documentation, working closely with our Procurement Team to ensure seamless contract management.
  6. Process Improvement: You will participate in the creation, development, and enhancement of internal contractual processes, contributing to the optimization of our contract management workflow.
  7. Knowledge Sharing: You will contribute to the knowledge database for the contracts team, sharing your expertise and best practices with colleagues.
  8. Contract Templates and Playbooks: You will prepare and review contract templates, the contract playbook, and other toolkits, communications, and training materials as needed.
  9. Legal Tech and Innovation: You will explore the integration of legal tech tools, AI, and other innovative techniques to optimize the workflow and enhance the quality of work outcomes within the contract team.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited law school.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of combined experience working as a legal counsel in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  3. Language Skills: Full professional competency in English and Spanish (French and Portuguese would be a plus).
