About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Legal Counsel - Contract Specialist to join our Legal Team at eDreams ODIGEO. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our commercial contracting strategy and ensuring that our contracts are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Negotiation of Contracts: You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of contracts, including NDAs, supplier service agreements, and IT agreements, with a focus on balancing business and legal requirements.
  • Legal Risk Management: You will identify legal risks associated with contracts and propose effective strategies for risk mitigation, ensuring that our business operations are protected.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: You will work closely with internal teams to provide clear and pragmatic legal guidance throughout the contract negotiation process, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Contract Research and Analysis: You will conduct legal research on specific issues and provide clear and concise analyses to support decision-making.
  • Contract Management: You will maintain an organized and accessible repository of contracts and related documentation, working closely with our Procurement Team.
  • Process Improvement: You will participate in the creation, development, and enhancement of internal contractual processes, contributing to the improvement of our contract management workflow.
  • Knowledge Sharing: You will contribute to the knowledge database for the contracts team, sharing your expertise and experience with colleagues.
  • Contract Templates and Playbooks: You will prepare and review contract templates, the contract playbook, and other toolkits, communications, and training materials as needed.
  • Legal Tech and Innovation: You will explore the integration of legal tech tools, AI, and other innovative techniques to optimize the workflow and enhance the quality of work outcomes within the contract team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited law school.
  • Experience: 3+ years of combined experience working as a legal counsel in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Language Skills: Full professional competency in English and Spanish (French and Portuguese would be a plus).
  • Contract Management Skills: Experience working with commercial contracts and skilled at drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in English.
  • Business Acumen: Self-starter and self-motivated with a passion to learn and grow, taking the initiative to handle complex challenges and prioritizing multiple ongoing projects.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with key stakeholders, within the legal team and outside of it.
  • Legal Risk Management: Ability to identify legal risks and potential liabilities, while remaining business-oriented.
  • Adaptability: Excellent communication skills and adaptability to a fast-paced and multicultural environment.

  • Tech Savviness: Tech-savvy approach with hands-on experience with contract management tools and systems.
  • Contract Template Development: Expertise in developing contract templates, playbooks, and standard documents.
