Key Responsibilities- Lead the Legal and Compliance team, providing direction and development opportunities for direct reports and their teams.
- Manage and provide guidance on a broad range of legal issues, including commercial law, consumer law, and intellectual property.
- Oversee the management of litigation, legal disputes, and negotiations related to these areas.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards within the organization.
- Support and advise the M&A team on acquisitions and high-stakes projects when necessary.
- Conduct training for operational staff on legal and compliance matters to foster a culture of compliance.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in law and a fully qualified lawyer to work in Spain.
- At least 10 years of post-qualified legal experience in a top-tier law firm or as in-house counsel for a multinational corporation.
- Expertise in Data Protection: In-depth knowledge of Spanish and EU data protection laws (GDPR) is crucial for this role.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong organizational and management skills.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with local and international teams.
