Key Account Manager Job Description

At The British American Tobacco Group, we are on a mission to decrease the health impact of our industry through innovative products like VELO, VUSE, and GLO.

We are seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to join our team in Madrid. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing our distribution channels and ensuring database alignment with company requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Securing new business and clients in the FMCG sector
  • Budget control and orders management with suppliers
  • Presenting in forums, post-implementation reviews, and tactic plans
  • Ensuring alignment with other departments, including Brand, Trade, Activation, and Supply

Additionally, you will be expected to comply with environmental protection, safety at work, fire protection, and internal EHS standards and procedures.

We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years' experience in a new business and key accounts role, preferably in an FMCG company with a trade channel and account management approach.

Key qualifications include:

  • University degree
  • Master's degree a plus
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Critical and analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving and proactive approach
