About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Privacy Senior Analyst to join our team at The Cigna Group. As a key member of our EGS Legal and Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of data protection regulations across our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level regulatory advice and support to management on all matters of data protection, with a focus on GDPR.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including senior managers, compliance colleagues, and external specialists.
  • Support the maintenance and embedding of the EGS Compliance Policy Framework and a positive compliance culture in relation to data protection.
  • Establish and execute mechanisms to test the continued effectiveness of data protection arrangements and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide input to the development and review of the annual compliance plan with regard to data protection matters.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in a data protection function within a financial services organization, ideally within health or general insurance with a multinational focus.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Sound understanding of the European regulatory landscape in the field of data protection, and ideally across several jurisdictions across Europe.
  • Strong practical knowledge of principles, rules, and guidance relating specifically to data protection.
  • Highly developed and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, exhibiting good questioning and listening skills.
  • Consultative, approachable, and persistent, with the ability to build excellent working relationships with all levels of the business.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Acts with high levels of integrity and high levels of personal and professional ethics and impartiality.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability, with the ability to analyze and draw conclusions from a range of quantitative and qualitative information/data.
  • Practical knowledge and capability with using Microsoft Office products.
  • Self-motivated and confident working on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Effectively able to undertake peer group comparisons and report on business practices against regulatory requirements in the field of data protection.
  • To hold, or be working towards, an industry-recognized qualification in data protection.
  • A knowledge and understanding of insurance and/or healthcare products.
  • A good knowledge of internal systems and controls that apply to a regulated environment.
