Job Title: Enterprise Project Manager

The role of an Enterprise Project Manager at Canonical is to oversee the successful execution of complex projects within the company's global enterprise technology market. Canonical's mission is to streamline and accelerate the adoption of open source across the entire market.

As an Enterprise Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring project success through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute project plans, including project scope, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and control
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations
  • Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in IT project management, preferably in a software engineering and/or information technology field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience leading cross-cultural, remote, and global project teams and customers
  • Agile expertise and project management certification
  • Strong commercial skills, including experience with contracts and negotiation
  • Degree-level education in Computer Science or a related field, ideally with an MBA or similar qualification
