About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Drives Specialist to join our team at ABB Schweiz AG. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for executing onsite service work, commissioning, diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits of electrical drives and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Onsite Service Work: Perform commissioning, diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits of electrical drives and related equipment according to work instructions and ABB processes.
  2. Remote Technical Support: Provide remote technical support to customers using digital tools, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
  3. Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by meeting customer needs, maintaining good relationships, and identifying new service business opportunities.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with customers, other ABB teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and quality.
  5. Quality and Safety: Ensure high standards of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices, eliminating unsafe practices and incidents.
  6. Reporting and Documentation: Accurately report work done, including technical reports, material used, timesheets, and travel expenses, in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree: Hold a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Deep Knowledge of AC/DC Drives Technology: Possess deep knowledge of AC/DC drives technology and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing ABB or other brand drives.
  • Technical Remote Support Experience: Proven experience in technical remote support using digital tools.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Frequent domestic traveling and occasional international traveling may be required for training purposes or special customers/projects.
