In this role, you will oversee the implementation of transportation operations (both inbound and outbound) for the site and facilitate the evolution of Alstom's transportation framework in alignment with the Global Supply Chain strategy. Your daily responsibilities will involve close collaboration with various business units (demand planning, supply chain), optimizing site operations and shipments while ensuring adherence to processes and regulations, among other tasks.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and executing transportation and logistics operations, including customs activities, to meet site supply chain needs.
  • Leading the governance framework established between the site and transportation service providers in accordance with the transportation strategy.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Transportation performance scorecard, focusing on service quality and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinating with the Global Transportation team and its divisions (Overseas-TCTs, Regional-TCTs, and Project Out-of-Gauge) to implement the transportation strategy.
  • Facilitating communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, projects, and network analyses for the Transportation organization to meet operational objectives.
  • Promoting consistency in processes, systems, and data.
  • Managing team dynamics.
  • Actively contributing to the formulation and execution of the Indirect Sourcing strategy.
  • Participating in Supplier Performance and Business reviews (monthly/quarterly as per the Suppliers governance model).
  • Serving as the primary contact for transport RFPs to gather data and establish specifications.
  • Acting as the site customs representative.

  • A Technical Degree in Transportation or International Commerce.
  • 3-5 years of experience in customs management.
  • 3 years of experience in transportation management.
  • Proficiency in English.
