About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the site works phase of our projects, ensuring that all construction and commissioning activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Site Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor site teams of field services engineers, installation teams, and sub-vendors for installation and commissioning of Schneider Electric equipment.
  2. Project Coordination: Prepare, monitor, and update detailed installation and commissioning schedules, ensuring that commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project program.
  3. Health and Safety: Oversee on-site works and teams of technicians, ensuring they adhere to all health and safety regulations and HSE plans on site.
  4. Progress Reporting: Monitor works and provide weekly progress reports to the project manager.
  5. Resource Management: Manage and monitor day-to-day site activities, anticipate right resource levels, and ensure timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.
  6. Method Statement: Ensure method statements are communicated, understood, acknowledged, and followed by all site staff.
  7. Team Leadership: Direct other employees/contractors engaged in work on behalf of the company.
  8. Quality Control: Ensure all construction complies with design specifications and provide feedback to the design team in case of modifications to be implemented.
  9. Problem-Solving: Identify problems with systems or products along with installation and testing.
  10. System Installation: Ensure that all systems and equipment are properly installed, tested, and commissioned.
  11. Change Management: Keep pace with change to identify and tackle on-site modification and potential change orders in collaboration with the project manager.
  12. Snag List Management: Control the snags list until successful closure and prepare an action plan to close the snags.
  13. Commissioning: Prepare/Review/Approve concise commissioning method statements where necessary.
  14. Handover: Complete the necessary certificates for handover to the client and witness testing and associated documentation, as required.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Previous experience in managing and working with teams of contractors, as site manager or on-site project manager.
  2. Industry Knowledge: Experience in Datacenter projects with major global customers.
  3. Technical Skills: Experience in Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgear.
  4. Commissioning Experience: Experience in commissioning of electrical equipment.
  5. Communication Skills: Assertive and strong stakeholder communication skills.
  6. Relationship Building: Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, general contractor, equipment suppliers, and manufacturers.
  7. Autonomy: Autonomous, decision-maker, and organized.
  8. Quality Awareness: Awareness of quality, health, safety, and environmental matters related to the works.
  9. Time Management: Ability to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurized environment.
  10. Language Skills: Ability to communicate (written, verbal) in a clear and synthetic manner on technical issues/topics.
  11. Language Proficiency: Language: English B2 & Español B2.
  12. Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  13. Relocation: Must be able to relocate and live permanently in Zaragoza - Spain for the duration of the project (~5 years).
