Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join our team at Schneider Electric Global. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the site works phase of our projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution of fieldwork, and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor site teams of field services engineers, installation teams, and sub-vendors for installation and commissioning of Schneider Electric equipment.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers and general contractors for all construction and commissioning field activities on the project.
  • Attend daily site meetings, toolbox talks, and conduct task briefings with customers, contractors, and suppliers to protect company interests.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update detailed installation and commissioning schedules, collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project programme.
  • Oversee on-site works and teams of technicians, ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations and HSE plans.
  • Monitor works and provide weekly progress reports to the Project Manager, collecting timesheets and organizing daily reports to identify performed activities, roadblocks, and downtime.
  • Manage and monitor day-to-day site activities, anticipate resource levels, and ensure timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.
  • Ensure method statements are communicated, understood, acknowledged, and followed by all site staff.
  • Direct other employees and contractors engaged in work on behalf of the company, ensuring all construction complies with design specifications.
  • Identify problems with systems or products, ensure all systems and equipment are properly installed, tested, and commissioned.
  • Keep pace with change, identifying and tackling on-site modifications and potential change orders in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Carefully control the snags list until successful closure, ensuring active and fast response, and leading the preparation of an action plan to close the snags.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in electrical site management, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
