About the Role

Ekkiden is seeking a highly skilled Product Engineering Manager to lead organizational, operational, and technological transformation projects in IT/Digital, Industry/R&D, and Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and validate product designs that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  2. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and lead upstream project phases, including expertise and acquisition phases.
  3. Analyze customer needs and create detailed product specifications.
  4. Define product design concepts that meet customer requirements and ensure manufacturing feasibility.
  5. Collaborate with customers during design and tuning phases as the primary technical contact.
  6. Provide functional specifications for baby parts and manage risk analysis.
  7. Manage product validation, including functional, geometry, and cosmetic quality.
  8. Anticipate and manage product tuning, including mold and fixture tuning.
Project Management
  1. Define initial project scope, including extended team, project perimeter, development budget, and Optimap Work Packages.
  2. Establish and manage engineering project planning.
  3. Lead project reviews, consolidate actions, and provide reporting and action plans.
  4. Participate in QUAD reviews and track perimeter changes.
  5. Propose adjustments and modifications due to perimeter evolution during project lifetime.
Budget Management
  1. Ensure product PRU commitment for design-relevant criteria.
  2. Determine project provisional budget, including hours and cost.
  3. Allocate budget to extended team and guarantee resource availability.
  4. Determine internal and external project perimeter based on Statement of Work.
  5. Track perimeter changes and report to PM.
  6. Propose adjustments and modifications due to perimeter evolution during project lifetime.
  7. Monitor project budget and release warnings to PM and métiers managers in case of gaps.
  8. Contribute to investment optimization through part design.
Continuous Improvements
  1. Participate in capitalization and productivity actions.
  2. Contribute to project closure and provide feedback on best practices and difficulties.
