The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is seeking a talented Junior Group Leader to join its Quantitative Cell Biology Program.

The successful applicant will lead a research group focused on addressing fundamental questions in cell biology, using multidisciplinary approaches to bridge scales from molecules to organisms. We welcome applications in areas that synergise with current research or broaden its scope, such as evolutionary cell biology or structural cell biology.

The group will receive generous core-funding and join the Quantitative Cell Biology Program, with the option of a joint affiliation with another CRG Program. Translational aspects will be considered, but do not have to be the primary research aim.

About the CRG

The CRG is a core-funded interdisciplinary institute with strengths in genomics, systems, computational, cell and molecular biology. Located at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park, the CRG consists of 400 scientists and is organised into five research programmes, with access to high-end core technologies and facilities.

The CRG is committed to developing an HR Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring practices and procedures in line with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. The Offer

We offer a Junior Group Leader position with a 5-year contract renewable for a total of 9 years, subject to successful external peer review. The position includes structural funding to cover salaries and consumables for up to three people, depending on their qualifications. We provide an equipped laboratory, office space, and access to cutting-edge core technologies.
