Baxter is a leading healthcare company that is on a mission to revolutionize kidney care. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Government Affairs to join our team in Spain.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and leading the company's government affairs, market development, and public policy functions in Spain. This will involve advising and counseling executives on public policy and governmental matters, developing the company's government relations and public policy strategy, and participating in trade organizations and industry groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and counsel executives on public policy and governmental matters
  • Develop the company's government relations and public policy strategy
  • Participate in trade organizations and industry groups
  • Develop relationships with key government officials
  • Assist in government business transactions
  • Develop thought leadership and influence commercial strategies
  • Develop education programs and symposia

Requirements:

  • 8-15 years of experience in governmental or non-governmental organization and/or trade or industry association
  • Knowledge and ability to influence the political/policy process
  • Experience in public policy making processes
  • Experience in developing partnerships with trade associations
  • Formulating and implementing business development policies
  • Proven ability to analyze key regulatory and policy issues
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with internal business stakeholders
