About the Role
The Employee Relations team at Amazon supports our Associates and works with third-party service provider teams that execute our last mile delivery services. We are seeking a Senior ER Manager to work in our team in Spain who possesses a demonstrated ability to quickly assess data, workplaces, behaviors, and relationships to identify risks and gaps in the work environment. The Senior Manager will own ensuring that fair, consistent, and transparent employee relations processes are applied at our delivery stations so that we can maintain a positive experience for last mile associates.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and assess engagement mechanisms that maintain positive workplace environments for drivers
• Provide labor relations advice and strategy to identify trends and challenges, predict and mitigate risks, and develop solution-focused strategies and programs
• Work reactively on crisis-oriented issues under extreme time limitations while exercising excellent judgment and leadership
• Independently design, own, and lead successfully large-scale, network-wide projects that improve frontline partner experience
• Analyze and interpret data to develop persuasive narratives and recommendations, and define and measure success of programs
• Provide accurate and timely advice on works council and other workplace mechanisms in concert with meeting business needs
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and peers to share information, influence change, and leverage resources to deliver results

The role reports to the EXR Head of Country, Spain and works alongside an experienced and highly supportive and cohesive team across multiple Operational business lines.
Requirements
• University degree and significant professional experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law with an emphasis on labor
• Excellent writing skills and communication skills with all levels of stakeholders
• First experience in managing complex projects and/or programs with heterogeneous teams
• Comprehension in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in at least one other European language is desirable
• Labor and employment law knowledge
• Possess strong change management, leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Relevant experience working at the European level on labor and employee relations matters in a unionized environment
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute complex strategies across large networks in multiple countries
• Experience working with third-party contractor workforces
• Experience analyzing metrics and assessing employee sentiment data to find root causes and develop short-, medium-, and long-term plans
• Capable of working independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
