We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Converter Design Specialist to join our team at Gamesa Electric SA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-power converters for wind applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-power converters for wind applications, including converter modeling, thermal analysis, and component selection.
  • Review and clarify converter hardware requirements, technical specifications, and design reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with design requirements and quality processes.
  • Participate in converter validation and testing to ensure high-quality products.
  • Contribute to double sourcing activities and support product testing and certifications.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in power electronics converter design, preferably in high-power applications (over 100 kW).
  • Experience in analysis, diagnosis, and problem-solving of power converters, including commissioning experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Proficiency in SW tools such as Matlab, Python, Simulink, PSIM, and PLECS.
