Position: Converter Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Converter Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reviewing certification requirements for converter and control cabinets for wind, solar, and battery markets.
- Defining testing procedures to comply with certification requirements.
- Designing, adapting, and operating test rigs to proceed with the validation and certification tests.
- Instrumentation definition, installation, and data gathering.
- Attending external laboratories to perform specific certification tests.
- Generating test reports.
- Providing manufacturing test bench support.
- Participating in converter validation to ensure compliance with design requirements in cooperation with the whole converter design team.
- Adhering to the quality process through the execution of test procedures.
- Cooperating with other teams in the company to support presales, commissioning, aftersales, etc.
Requirements
- Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance to lead the change.
- Technical engineer with a specialty in electronics or electrical.
- Knowledge of power electronics, testing instrumentation, and certification normative.
- At least 3 years of experience in test and validation of power electronics for renewable energy.
- Experience in analysis, diagnosis, and problem-solving on complex systems and its commissioning.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
- Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Nice to have: Python/MatLab knowledge.
