We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Alter Domus, a leading provider of alternative investment solutions. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in ongoing monitoring of client relationships for AML/CFT purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct name matching on daily screening tools and review of hits to identify potential risks.
- Review client acceptance files, identify and assess compliance risks, and escalate identified risks to senior management.
- Undertake sample checks on activities performed by the 1st line of defence and draft reports to support compliance monitoring.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation of client files to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collect and analyze figures/statistics to support the local Compliance team in their monitoring activities.
- Participate in projects for Malta and UK Compliance teams as required, contributing to the development of a Compliance framework and culture.
- Assist in the performance of the Compliance monitoring programme, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential risks.
- 2+ years of experience in a Compliance and/or AML role in a financial services industry or an auditing firm or consultancy providing support to a financial service provider on Compliance or AML.
- Thorough understanding of Know Your Customer and knowledge of UK/European Compliance and AML related regulation.
- Professional level of English (spoken and written).
- Excellent analytical, organisational and reporting skills, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
