As a Compliance Officer at Alter Domus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and transparency of our operations. You will work closely with our Compliance and AML/CFT teams to monitor client relationships, identify and mitigate compliance risks, and develop effective strategies to maintain our regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in ongoing monitoring of client relationships for AML/CFT purposes
  • Assist in name matching on daily screening tools and review of hits
  • Assist in the review of client acceptance files, identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, and escalate risks identified
  • Assist in undertaking sample checks on activities performed by the 1st line of defence and draft reports
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation of client files
  • Collect figures/statistics to support the local Compliance team
  • Participate in projects for Malta and UK Compliance teams as required
  • Assist in the performance of the Compliance monitoring programme
  • Assist in monitoring transactions
  • Contribute to the development of a Compliance framework and culture

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Compliance and/or AML role in a financial service industry or an auditing firm or consultancy providing support to a financial service provider on Compliance or AML
  • Thorough understanding of Know Your Customer and knowledge of UK/European Compliance and AML related regulation
  • Professional level of English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and reporting skills, and written communication skills
  • Rigorous, learn quickly, and strive for results
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
