Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our Compliance Function, you will provide critical support to our Compliance and AML/CFT teams, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in ongoing monitoring of client relationships for AML/CFT purposes, identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Conduct name matching on daily screening tools and review hits to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Review client acceptance files, identify compliance risks, and escalate issues to senior management.
  • Undertake sample checks on activities performed by the 1st line of defence and draft reports to support compliance monitoring.
  • Collect and analyze data to support the local Compliance team, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in projects for Malta and UK Compliance teams, contributing to the development of a Compliance framework and culture.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a Compliance and/or AML role in a financial services industry or auditing firm.
  • Thorough understanding of Know Your Customer and knowledge of UK/European Compliance and AML related regulation.
  • Professional level of English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and reporting skills, with strong written communication skills.
  • Rigorous, quick learner, and results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
