Job Title: Factory SCM Specialist

About the Role:

Hitachi Energy is a pioneering technology leader dedicated to advancing the world's energy system. Our transformers business unit offers a range of products and services, including liquid-filled and dry-type transformers, as well as complete life-cycle support. We are currently seeking a Factory SCM Specialist to join our team in Cordoba, Spain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Factory SCM in assigned tasks to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Liaise with the Planning & Fulfillment team to manage ERP data under SCM responsibility, including supplier contact details, allocation plans, prices, lead times, MOQs, Incoterms, and payment terms.
  • Monitor and control material prices and Terms & Conditions throughout the value chain, from tender to invoice.
  • Measure gaps between tender and actuals, investigate root causes, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Support tender material costing and negotiate with suppliers as needed.
  • Act promptly on assigned issues escalated according to the escalation matrix.
  • Support analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Lead and/or support company and contractor qualification processes for assigned suppliers.
  • Support Supplier Performance Evaluations on assigned tasks.
  • Work on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks.
  • Support claim management to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy and escalate as necessary.
  • Support Factory SCM in material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience as SCM in a similar sector or related industrial field.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or Economics or Business Administration.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Package, especially Excel.
  • English and Spanish required.
  • Resident in Cordoba or Andalusia area.
  • Proactive mindset, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
