About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead our multidisciplinary Tech team, comprising Data Engineers, Backend Engineers, and Front-end Engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing technical expertise to drive collaboration across multiple systems and stakeholders
  • Representing the team externally, coordinating with other teams and stakeholders, and collaborating closely with the product manager
  • Ensuring the product team is focused and delivering incremental value by managing priorities and controlling work-in-progress
  • Managing engineers across the team, guiding and supporting their growth and development
  • Ensuring the team has the right technical skills and capacity to tackle complex challenges
Key Responsibilities
  • Exceptional technical abilities and experience with large-scale application architecture and microservice approaches
  • Familiarity with Clean Code, SOLID, and DRY principles
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud architectures
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects in fast-changing environments
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative, with high energy and stamina
  • Decisive and action-oriented, with the ability to make rapid decisions
  • Highly motivated, independent, and deeply passionate about sustainability and impact
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills (minimum C1 level)
Nice to Have
  • Experience in a start-up environment
  • Experience leading teams of Data Engineers, Backend, or Front-end Engineers
  • Knowledge of multiple tech stacks and distributed systems
