The Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our public and regulatory affairs strategy in Spain. As a key member of our Corporate Affairs, Regulation & Strategy (CARS) function, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong working-level relationships with key external stakeholders, including government officials, regulators, trade associations, and non-governmental organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze up-to-date intelligence on political, governmental, regulator, and key influencer activities in Spain to provide policy and regulatory advice to our management team.
  • Support project teams in developing and executing impactful communications and stakeholder engagement plans needed to achieve timely progress of key projects.
  • Closely monitor and assess regulatory changes that affect the operation of our assets in Spain, including related to industry codes and operation of the various electricity markets.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An in-depth understanding and experience of the Spanish energy sector, including the process for development of and investment in renewable energy projects.
  • In-depth experience and understanding of Spanish politics and regulatory affairs and how government and regulators impact our businesses.
  • Substantial experience of effective advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
