About the Role

Vèringer Engineering is seeking a skilled Machining Operator to join our team in Santander. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge scientific projects, including the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain machining equipment, including machines and tools designed for various processes and robots.
  • Read and interpret positioning plans to prepare the machine for machining operations.
  • Detect and communicate errors or inconsistencies in design specifications.
  • Prepare workstations, machines, tools, and parts for machining operations.
  • Use safety equipment and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Receive instructions and prepare materials for machining, including positioning, clamping, centering, and leveling.
  • Verify, modify, and produce CNC programs using RobotDK and/or Fusion 360.
  • Adjust cutting parameters based on material type, tolerances, and other factors.
  • Suggest improvements to machining processes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Support dimensional checks and make manual adjustments as needed.
  • Clean work areas and tools.
Requirements
  • Higher or medium-level professional training in machining tools.
  • 3-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong reading and interpretation skills for plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of overall mechanics and measuring tools.
  • Experience with CNC and CAM systems.
  • A multidisciplinary profile or willingness to train in related areas.
  • Advanced English or French language skills, with Spanish as a plus.
  • Procedure reading efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Crane operator certification.
  • Experience working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of Fusion 360, RoboDK, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Sense of order and planning.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
