About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain database architecture and code initiatives supporting internal and third-party software solutions. This role requires delivering exceptional products on time, meeting current and long-term business needs for the business area. As a key member of an agile team of motivated, driven, high-energy engineers, you will build trust and confidence with team members and business stakeholders. Additionally, you will lead, mentor, and coach junior data engineers to foster stronger and faster teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Product Teams: Work closely with our product teams to provide timely, effective, and performant solutions.
  2. Design Scalable Data Solutions: Contribute to the design of scalable data solutions, including the development of automated pipelines.
  3. Implement and Maintain Database Systems: Implement and/or maintain database systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our application suite.
  4. Define Business Data Requirements: Understand and define business data requirements and identify data needs and data sources to create scalable data architecture and support enhancements, new products, and implementations.
  5. Coach and Mentor Team Members: Coach, mentor, and train team members, driving both employee and team development and growth.

Your Expertise:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of database developer/engineering experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Skills: Ability to create and understand data models, create and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, write advanced SQL code, and possess working knowledge of cloud data technologies and architecture.
  • Communication: Must speak and write in English fluently; effective communicator.
