**Job Summary:**
The Ritz-Carlton is seeking an exceptional Executive Event Director to lead our team in delivering unparalleled events and experiences. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for directing and motivating your team while assisting in the setup of event spaces and executing events to meet requirements and standards.

**Key Responsibilities:*** Participate in leading catering teams and demonstrating self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.* Understand and manage diverse work environments.* Use problem-solving methodologies for decision-making and follow-up.* Demonstrate personal integrity, manage time well, and maintain high visibility in areas of responsibility.* Build a positive work environment by showcasing self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.*
Support the management of catering operations, interacting with employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers.* Demonstrate knowledge of all departments within the property.* Communicate group needs to various departments within the property.* Promptly handle inquiries within market parameters.* Create effective written and verbal presentations.*
Ensure exceptional customer service by communicating event details to operating departments and customers.* Manage quality processes in customer service and employee satisfaction.* Support and coordinate with the sales and marketing function, qualifying business leads, soliciting meetings, and booking conferences and catered corporate events.* Finalize and upsell catering arrangements for group/convention business.* Negotiate and market to drive sales and create profits.* Identify customer needs and ensure successful catering events.*
Conduct human resources activities, including providing constructive coaching and counseling to employees.* Support the development, training, and mentoring of employees.* Motivate employees and provide a productive work environment.* Develop and manage hourly employees.* Adhere to EEO and AA policies.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of event management principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and direct a team. **Estimated Salary Range:** $60,000 - $80,000 per year
