Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Gameplay Programmer to join our team and contribute to the development of our upcoming online fantasy RPG. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing gameplay features, systems, and mechanics that bring our game to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement procedural content creation systems, including terrain generation, NPC behavior, and item creation
  • Develop and maintain gameplay and narrative progression systems, ensuring a seamless and engaging player experience
  • Collaborate with the art team to create visually stunning characters, cameras, and controls that enhance the game's overall atmosphere
  • Work with the design team to implement and balance gameplay mechanics, including weapons, items, and abilities
  • Contribute to the development of our in-house technology, Glacier, and ensure its integration with our game development pipeline
  • Collaborate with other programmers, designers, and content creators to build and enrich the game, while adhering to the main vision set by the Game Director and in accordance with the guidelines defined by the Technical Director
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring the growth and development of our team's technical expertise

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience in gameplay programming, preferably on a AAA title, with a strong focus on multiplayer and online features
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading teams and driving technical initiatives
  • Strong foundation and understanding of C++ programming, with experience in implementing gameplay features and systems
  • Hands-on experience with gameplay features implementation, including procedural content creation, gameplay and narrative progression systems, characters, cameras, and controls, and weapons and items
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
