Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audio Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our audio department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing audio features and tools for our bespoke engine, Glacier. You will work closely with our sound designers, technical directors, producers, and gameplay programmers to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge AAA audio on all our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Audio Feature Development

Design and implement audio features and tools for our bespoke engine, Glacier. This will involve working in-engine, improving, prioritizing, and optimizing runtime code that executes the game.

Audio Systems Development

Work on audio development and systems: workflows, tooling, and developing audio systems, by both working individually and in collaboration with our Audio Programmer. This will include tasks such as:

  • Propagation system development
  • Reverb and early vs late reflections development
Game-Specific Audio Development

Work on game-specific audio development. Improve and develop the gameplay audio code: triggers for gameplay interaction, such as footsteps, guns, collisions, etc.

System Maintenance and Optimization

Maintain, optimize, and improve existing systems.

Collaboration with Sound Designers

Work closely with sound designers to help them create a top-notch audio experience.

Requirements

  1. Technical Skills

Excellent C++ and code design skills.

Experience

Experience writing runtime and memory-efficient code, debugging, and maintaining complex software systems.

Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of mathematics.
