Marketing Operations and Marketing Technology Director
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Operations and Marketing Technology Director to join our team at Amadeus. As a key member of our Marketing Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class marketing activities and processes that help to achieve the Travel Unit's ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contractual relations with 3rd parties mainly on following topics: Mar Tech / Translation / Learning and Development
- Collaborate with TU MKT and with RevOps in tracking marketing performance with key operational metrics (e.g. defining common SLAs, developing processes by identifying and analyzing gaps and best practices to ensure efficiency, etc.)
- Works closely with other TRU marketing managers to track and maximize resource allocation and utilization for assigned tasks
- Contribute to the definition of the tracking methodology for marketing activities, that will be used to measure performance to define overall marketing success.
- Oversee marketing technology stack (including project management, implementation, evolution, administration, governance)
- Own the end-to-end Marketing digital transformation, vision, priorities, and roadmap.
- Lead the strategic execution and follow-up of marketing digital initiatives.
- Ensure MarTech stack is fully operational and acts as SPOC for the MarTech vendor(s) for needed improvements and maintenance
- Support the Travel Unit Marketing team in showcasing their contribution to revenue growth.
- Gather business requirements from the Marketing community (Inc. Product Market Management, Corporate Marketing) and measure the performance of marketing activities through the MarTech stack.
- Platform management: Business platform owner/ Platform governance (within channel governance). Be responsible for any new requests or needs for the Platform including future integrations, roadmap management and channel. Arbitrate priorities and backlog management (inc. Change requests)
- User Management: User upskilling and adoption (All training needs), User functional support (First level support)
- Forms: Change Request Management (run) Animate MKT community creating form. Define and ensure adoption of best practices and business rules for creating effective and efficient forms (example: recommendation of hidden field for campaign ID)
- Act as Data Owner for MKT data (Customer Profile & Attributes). Ensure clear rules and processes are defined to govern such data, be accountable of target Data Quality levels and ensure everyone in the organization consumes this data from the Single Source of Truth. Works in coordination with Customer Data Owner in RevOps
- Act as Data Steward for MKT Data (Customer Profile & Attributes). Coordinate the execution of data quality activities to achieve the Data Quality Targets stated by Data Owner. Works in coordination with Customer Data Steward in RevOps.
About the Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field/master's degree preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in driving strategy and/or implementation of Marketing Technologies
- Track record of engaging with and successfully influencing senior leaders on challenging topics
- Track record of driving high performance from teams, with or without direct reporting line/management responsibility
- Strong knowledge of the travel industry, and good understanding of Amadeus organization and businesses
- Ability to ramp up on new business areas / functions rapidly
- Good understanding of latest tools and technology trends
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge/experience in Marketing Technology - MarTech - Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, Eloqua, etc.
