About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Projects Manager to join our Infrastructure Energy Team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end power scaling strategy for our data centers across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive power growth strategy for our data centers in EMEA.
  • Prospect for, originate, and contract the power capacity needed to support our data center expansion.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the delivery and operation of power grids.
  • Collaborate with electricity utilities and other external stakeholders to develop strategies that support our expansion in EMEA.
  • Work with our Public Policy team to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader AWS strategies and objectives.
About the Team

The Infrastructure Energy team is a dynamic and growing team responsible for originating, contracting, and delivering reliable power connections to our data centers across EMEA. We are a diverse team of Energy Project Managers and Grid Delivery Managers, supported by business analysts.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering or other relevant technical field.
  • 7-10+ years of delivery track record in the electric utility/energy industry.
  • Proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with key clients and external stakeholders.
  • Working proficiency in the Swedish and English languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in relevant discipline (MBA/MS).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering HV/MV electric infrastructure.
  • Experience of IT infrastructure, data centers, and cloud services.
  • Ability to converse in German, French, or Italian.
  • Experience working on energy policy initiatives.
