About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Public Affairs and Regulatory Compliance in Spain to lead our regulatory affairs and stakeholder engagement efforts in the country.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Spanish energy sector, including renewable energy project development and investment processes. Strong experience in Spanish politics and regulatory affairs, as well as effective advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills, are essential.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders, gathering and analyzing intelligence on political, governmental, regulator, and influencer activities in Spain, and providing policy and regulatory advice to our management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute impactful communications and stakeholder engagement plans to achieve timely progress of key projects.
  • Closely monitor and assess regulatory changes that affect the operation of our assets in Spain.
  • Create and execute a plan to build the public profile for SSE plc in Spain, highlighting our values, positive contributions, experience, ambitions, and people.
  • Suitably communicate and record all stakeholder activity and compile regular reports measuring outputs against plans and outcomes against objectives.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, performance-related bonus, and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing. Flexible working options are available.
