About the Role

SSE Renewables has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Public and Regulatory Affairs in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading regulatory issues and engaging with external stakeholders to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, ministers, regulators, trade associations, and non-governmental organisations
  • Gather and analyse intelligence on political, governmental, regulator, and key influencer activities in Spain to provide policy and regulatory advice to management
  • Support project teams in developing and executing impactful communications and stakeholder engagement plans to achieve timely progress of key projects
  • Closely monitor and assess regulatory changes affecting SSE Renewables' assets in Spain, including industry codes and electricity markets

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse intelligence on regulatory activities
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a performance-related bonus, pension scheme, and flexible working options.
