Job Title: Chassis Systems Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chassis Systems Design Engineer to join our team at Applus IDIADA. As a member of our Chassis Systems Design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing chassis systems for various vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design ownership of chassis systems, ensuring an appropriate packaging for components and the whole system on the vehicle.
  • Initial definition and change management of the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) implementation.
  • Manage suppliers and support mule and prototype vehicle assembly as required.
  • Define chassis components technical specifications and write technical/scientific documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings and cross-functional design reviews.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering, specialized in Mechanics or Automotive.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Previous automotive OEM experience is an asset.
  • CATIA V5 2D/3D skills and knowledge of CAE and simulation tools are desirable.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.
