Job Title: Cost Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join our team at Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (Wrs) in Madrid, Spain. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project management team in managing project costs, providing cost estimates, and ensuring accurate financial forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cost reports, cash flow, and contingency analyses to ensure accurate financial representation.
  • Provide cost estimates and manage change orders to ensure project costs are accurately reflected.
  • Monitor project costs, including committed and spent funds, to identify areas for cost optimization.
  • Liaise with the finance department to track billable office space and ensure accurate financial representation.
  • Create accurate financial forecasts and ensure proper cost representation in reports.
  • Prepare monthly project updates and review contractor payment certificates to ensure timely payments.
  • Process invoices and create purchase orders using SAP to ensure efficient financial management.
  • Follow change management processes and verify project costs to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or engineering.
  • 5-10 years of cost management experience, with at least 3 years on large-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in desktop applications, such as Excel and SAP.
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
