Job Overview
We're seeking a Senior Cost Manager to act as the day-to-day interface with our clients, driving projects to achieve an excellent outcome. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for all aspects of cost management and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
- Assist with feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
- Manage all aspects of procurement, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contractual document compilation.
- Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Manage cost checks, valuations, and post-contract cost reports.
- Provide input into value engineering and negotiate final accounts.
- Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants throughout project stages.
- Lead the cost management team and ensure delivery of accountabilities.
- Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients and report to line managers.
- Develop and improve cost management procedures, templates, and products.
Requirements
We're looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years' experience in preparing cost estimates. Experience in data center and high-tech projects is preferred. Spanish language skills are advantageous. You should have good technical experience in all cost management areas, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account. A good understanding of mechanical, process, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as civils, structural, and architectural aspects, is essential. Experience in leading cost management on medium to large-sized construction projects is required. You should also have experience in advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing. Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills are necessary. Great organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and being a team player are also essential.
