Job Title: Technical Program Manager, Region Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the Region Services organization as a technical resource, taking the lead on solving complex operational challenges in some of the most sensitive and mission-critical clouds.

About the Role:

The TPM will be responsible for driving large-scale global projects and initiatives, leading cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new workflow features and tools that enhance productivity, open capacity at a faster rate, and secure devices to AWS standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, define User Acceptance Criteria for testing software, and ensure systems capture applicable data to enable customers to measure how effective their processes and leveraged software are from a day-to-day basis.
  • Identify and assemble the appropriate resources for each project, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.
  • Contribute with cross-functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.
  • Manage repair requests in a high-volume environment, as well as managing response to high-severity events.
  • Present to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis, demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner.
  • Be responsible for data collection, analytics, and dashboard creation as a way to help others recognize the best path to make the business better.
About the Team:

The Region Service provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for services within our Regions. We provide 'hands-on keyboard' support to our service teams by deploying changes into these isolated regions, monitoring the results, and reporting any issues that are observed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 6+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience.
