About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Motion Traction Field Service Specialist to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our service operations team, you will be responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with our standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support and Maintenance: Provide on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in Traction Service.
  2. Customer Consultation and Advisory: Consult with and advise customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  3. Relationship Building and Support: Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.
  4. International Travel: International travel will be required, as the role will require hands-on support at customer sites.

Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical / Power Electronics engineering or CFGS in similar fields.
  • +3 years of experience working as a Field Service Engineer, with knowledge in measurement technology in the field of power electronics (voltage range up to 4kV) and with IGBT converter technology.
  • Medium-high level of English.
  • Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing of Drives, Traction or Wind Power Converters.
  • Independent, structured, and initiative way of working.
