Position Overview
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Ferrovial Energy plays a pivotal role in overseeing and implementing robust cybersecurity measures to ensure the protection of the organization and its subsidiaries. This leadership position is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and enhancement of cybersecurity protocols across all facets of Ferrovial Energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and expand the cybersecurity operations of Ferrovial Energy in alignment with business objectives.
- Establish a comprehensive cybersecurity framework tailored to the needs of various business units, subsidiaries, and joint ventures.
- Engage in negotiations on behalf of Ferrovial Energy regarding cybersecurity agreements and standards.
- Ensure the implementation of effective security measures and controls for all digital and technological initiatives.
- Maintain and continuously refine these security measures throughout the lifecycle of products and services.
- Oversee security projects, including the initiation and execution of benchmarks and proof of concepts.
- Manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors servicing Ferrovial Energy's business units and subsidiaries.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the cybersecurity status, project progress, and compliance metrics.
- Collaborate with the risk and internal audit teams to enhance cybersecurity practices.
- Identify opportunities to deliver superior cybersecurity services across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10+ years of experience managing complex cybersecurity frameworks.
- Previous experience in the energy or utility sectors is preferred.
- Proven track record in developing and executing security strategies in large organizations.
- Expertise in risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of OT, ICS, and IoT cybersecurity, particularly with ISA/IEC 62443 Standards.
- Experience with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and ENS certified environments.
- Strong understanding of legal and compliance-related risks.
- Proficiency in designing and enhancing security architectures and infrastructures.
- Familiarity with SASE and Zero-Trust models.
- Skills in security incident management and business continuity planning.
- Experience in conducting audits and security assessments.
- Strong communication and training abilities in cybersecurity.
- Relevant security certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, etc.) are highly regarded.
- Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate contracts with regional implications.
- Experience managing remote teams effectively.
- Capacity to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
