Leading Regulatory Affairs Specialist for Spain

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our regulatory strategy and engagement with key stakeholders.

About the Role:
This is a permanent, full-time position with flexible working options. You will be based in Madrid, Spain, and will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects with a talented team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on regulatory issues and engagement with key stakeholders, including government officials and ministers at national and regional level, regulators, trade associations, government agencies, and non-governmental organisations.
- Build and maintain strong working-level relationships with key external stakeholders, including politicians at national and regional level, government officials, government agencies, regulators, trade associations, and non-governmental organisations.
- Gather and analyze up-to-date intelligence on political, governmental, regulatory, and key influencer activities in Spain to provide policy and regulatory advice to SSE Renewables management.
- Support project teams with developing and executing impactful communications and stakeholder engagement plans needed to achieve timely progress of key projects.
- Closely monitor and assess regulatory changes that affect the operation of SSE Renewables' assets in Spain, including related to industry codes and operation of the various electricity markets.
- Create & execute a plan to help build the public profile for SSE Renewables, highlighting the values and positive contributions of the company, our experience, ambitions, and people.
