We are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Manager to join our team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). As a key member of our Life Sciences Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accessibility, usability, integrity, and security of biomedical data throughout its lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in data management planning for research projects, including data storage, backup, and archiving strategies.
- Facilitate data sharing and collaboration among research teams, both within the organization and with external partners.
- Implement and promote best practices in data stewardship and management, ensuring data is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR).
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
- Provide training and support to researchers on data management best practices and tools.
- MSc in data science, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Alternatively, demonstrated experience in data management and stewardship.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:
- Experience in data stewardship and research data management.
- Familiarity with FAIR data principles and best practices in data quality management.
- Familiarity with data analysis with R, Python, or SQL.
- Understanding of the regulatory requirements related to biomedical data management.
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Competences:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- A full-time contract (37.5h/week).
