About the Role:

RWE Renewables, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Project Manager to join its team in Spain. As a key member of the Business Development Spain team, you will be responsible for driving the development of wind, PV, and BESS projects from early stages to investment decisions and handovers to the construction and operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver assigned projects according to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring timely and transparent communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the permitting process, including EIA and permit documentation, relationships with authorities, and representation of RWE's interests.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners and local communities to ensure project success.
  • Improve project competitiveness by challenging assumptions and reducing costs, in collaboration with the Investment Manager.
  • Coordinate site pre-selection, environmental constraints analysis, wind potential assessment, layout definition, land leases agreements, environmental impact assessment approval, and building permit achievement.

Requirements:

  • Significant work experience (3-5 years+) in solar and/or wind development in Spain.
  • Demonstrate performance orientation, self-motivation, and commercial awareness.
  • Proven knowledge of the Spanish Renewables market and ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams.
  • Ability to collaborate globally and communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Self-reflective personality, able to learn and act on feedback.
  • Valid driving license and degree in engineering, business administration, economics, law, or comparable studies.
  • Strong track record of utility-scale solar and/or onshore wind project development.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
