About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer, EA to join our global team at Wärtsilä. As a key member of our Business Unit Parts and Field Service, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Field Service Electrical Automation activities on 4-Stroke Marine Engines and Propulsion Control Systems.
  • Travel extensively, working on-site at marine installations and power plants, and participating in new installations (commissioning) or overhauls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Requirements
  • Experience working with 4-stroke engines (Diesel, Gas, or DF) and Propulsion equipment (CPP, Thrusters, waterjets).
  • Excellent knowledge of Written and Spoken English.
  • Proven troubleshooting, overhaul, and commissioning skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills, with experience working in multicultural environments.
  • Attention to safety and experience working in a team environment.
  • Reporting skills and experience dealing directly with clients.
  • Time management and ability to work under pressure.
