We are seeking a highly skilled QA Test Director to lead our testing efforts and ensure the highest level of quality in our video game products.
Job Summary:The QA Test Director will be responsible for overseeing the testing process from inception to release, implementing strategies to identify and resolve issues, and maintaining our commitment to delivering exceptional gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of QA testers to ensure the highest level of quality in our video game products.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies tailored to each game project, ensuring thorough coverage of all aspects including functionality, performance, compatibility, and usability.
- Oversee the execution of test plans, coordinating testing efforts across multiple platforms and environments to identify and report defects accurately and efficiently.
- Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices throughout the testing process, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential risks and prioritize testing efforts to mitigate them, collaborating with development teams to address critical issues in a timely manner.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
- Serve as a liaison between QA, development, and other cross-functional teams, providing regular updates on testing progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Analyze test results and metrics to assess product quality and performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to coordinate release schedules and ensure smooth and successful product launches.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a leadership role within QA within the video game industry.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency with bug tracking and test management systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
