We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team at The Chemical Engineer. As a key member of our process design team, you will be responsible for leading the development of process designs for our clients in the energy transition markets, particularly in the hydrogen and petrochemicals sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Act as process project manager, reporting to the project manager, and ensure that process engineering design activities are executed in accordance with client and company standards and procedures.
- Be accountable for the calculations, data sheets, narrative documents, and engineering diagrams prepared for the project by the team members.
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate teams, plan work, and provide clear technical guidance to ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the project manager on business activities as required.
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff, keeping up to date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise.
- Review and audit process engineering activity on projects and support internal development and continuous improvement activity as required.
- Ensure that company and client health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures are followed, and a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work.
- Chemical Engineering degree.
- From 5 to 15 years of proven experience in process design engineering, working at different steps of a project starting from Basic Engineering, FEED, and EPC.
- Demonstrable experience is required in Oil & Gas projects (Crude and Vacuum distillation, Delayed Coker, Hydroprocessing, FCC, Sulphur block, Utilities & Offsites, etc).
- Experience in Energy Transition technologies (Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, Bio-refineries, co-processing of vegetable oils, SAF) will be positively valued.
- Experience acting as Owner's engineering (PMC) will be highly valued.
- Customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs while achieving project and corporate objectives.
- Leading skills.
- Proficient in technical software like Aspen Hysys, Aspen Flare System Analyser, PRO-II, Promax, AFT Impulse.
- Excellent command of Spanish and English languages.
- Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
- Availability to join immediately.
